STAMFORD, CONN – Tom Foley, candidate for Governor, released the following statement in response to House Minority Leader Lawrence F. Cafero, Jr.’s announcement that he would seek reelection to the General Assembly in 2010:
“I admire Larry for considering running for higher office, but I am glad he has decided not to run for Governor. Larry would have been a good candidate and a formidable opponent, but Connecticut most needs him where he is leading the charge for Republican principles in the House of Representatives. I look forward to working hard with Larry to win the Governor’s office and elect more Republicans to the General Assembly.”
